FEATURED INSTRUCTOR:
CHRIS HURT

The Maile School welcomes acting instructor Chris Hurt. Although Chris has worked in the entertainment industry since he was 16, it wasn’t until he completed a variety of courses at The Maile School in the late ‘90’s that he began to transition from “behind the scenes” production work to on-camera “storytelling”.  For the past 12 years, he has worked as a self-employed actor on a full-time basis and is currently averaging more than 120 production days every year.
Chris concentrates on commercials, industrials, voiceovers, live presentations and website “walk-ons”.  He has recently appeared in spots for Dick’s Sporting Goods, Banco Popular, Tums, Rec Warehouse and Auction Direct.  He is also the voice of EA Sport’s “Tiger Woods PGA Tour” golf game and narrator for the National Park Service’s award-winning audio tour of Mount Rushmore National Memorial.  Chris earned a Theater degree from the University of South Carolina in 1991. We are excited to have Chris as part of The Maile School staff.  Be on the look out for Chris to teach workshops in the areas of Spokesperson and Ear Prompter.
