Proceed with Caution!
Proceed with Caution!! Acting graduate Lex Geddings has been very busy working in the entertainment industry. Not only has he been working as an actor, but also as a stunt actor and stunt coordinator in various films and television programs.
Lex has trained with Glen Wilder, a stunt coordinator from Los Angeles who is a pioneer in the stunt industry. With 24 years in the business, Lex still attends workshops to perfect the art of stunt work. He has become an expert in a variety of stunts such as high falls, fire burns, precision driving, and car crashes at extreme speeds.
Lex says, “Instead of pursuing Hollywood, Hollywood fell in my back yard.”
He has had the opportunity to work with A-list stars such as Hilary Swank, Halle Berry, Wesley Snipes, Ron Howard and Mel Gibson.
Orlando resident Lex travels all over for various film projects such as “The Reaper”, starring Hilary Swank, “Employee of the Month” with Jessica Simpson, Stephen King’s “The Mist”, “Bad Boys II”, “The Celestine Prophecy”, “The Specialist”, and “Harold & Kumar 2” which will be out in 2008. The next time you watch an action flix, think about how dangerous the stunts can be. For Lex, that is just all in a days work!

What to Wear to Work:
Here are few tips for dressing for success in the business world. This is for the standard corporate office. Some industries require a very formal wardrobe and some are fine with anything you wear. But for the most part, professional apparel will work in most offices.
Interviews: Job interviews almost always require a business suit. A black, navy blue or charcoal gray suit will last you ages. Pair it with a light-colored or white tailored blouse, classy black pumps and simple jewelry.
Client Meetings: No matter how you dress on “in-the-office” days, whenever you meet clients, you should dress up a bit. You can go almost anywhere in a pair of black pants, a nice shirt, and a lightweight jacket. It’s a look that works for both casual and professional environments.
Affordable Style: Many retailers now sell business suits in a variety of prices. You can mix and match jackets and pants or skirts to create many outfits from just a few quality pieces. Try outlet stores where you can often find specials. Classics are called classics because they do last a long time and are usually appropriate in different settings.
Never Evers: Some things are no-no’s no matter what industry or environment.
Vow to never wear to work:
Musical jewelry, Holiday or other “themed” sweaters, Suntan-colored pantyhose,
Spandex, Tees with logos or slogans, Ripped, torn or dirty anything & Too
big or too tight anything
Always Smile: The last thing you put on is your smile. Nobody wants to be around grouchy & cranky people!

HEALTH TIP FOR MAY:
A Few Foods To Avoid
It would be easy to list the obvious like ice cream, baked goods, soft drinks,
and fatty condiments but anyone who hasn't been hiding under a rock already
knows that these foods slow down weight loss. So here's the not so obvious
foods you should avoid:
Pasta: it's too high in calories & not nutritional enough.
Lunchmeat: it's not the best source of protein & very high in sodium.
Crackers & Tortilla chips: are too processed & nutritionally deficient.
A Few Foods To Eat Often
Just like with bad foods the good foods list is pretty
obvious. More veggies & fruits, lean proteins, and lean dairy but here's
the less obvious good foods that people need to fill up on:
Almonds & Walnuts: add flavor, are filling, & according to research curbs your appetite
Berries: are sweet, low glycemic, high fiber, & versatile so you can add them to salads, shakes, or yogurt.
Leafy Greens: can curb overeating & can sub for most carbs; try a homemade sesame chicken lettuce wrap.
Cottage cheese: is full of protein which boosts metabolism & can be combined with yogurt, beans, or veggies for a quick tasty meal.
Lean Steak: has amino acids not found in other proteins is a great alternative to chicken and fish and is filling so you don't need as much.
