Lucky Landings!

Graduate Cree Ivey has landed the role in the new Amanda Bynes movie Sydney White.  Cree, now 11, plays a younger version of Amanda’s character Sydney White.  This movie is a spin off the classic Snow White with Amanda Bynes as a freshman in college who reforms the seven outcasts of her sorority so they can take on the reigning campus queen and alter the social hierarchy.  Cree booked this role through Central Florida Talent and in just one audition!  Filming began in Central Florida on February 14th.  She says, “This was a thrill and the most exciting part is when I had the chance to meet Amanda and having my own trailer!”  Sydney White is set to be released in 2008 starring Amanda Bynes and John Schneider.  Cree also booked film work for RoboDoc playing the role of Jenny and has done commercials for Over and Out Lawn Treatments and Universal Studios.  Look for her in print ads for Sports Craft Lawn Games.  As you can see, this Tavares 5th grader is keeping very busy and we hope her luck continues!

Another student landing a role in the Sydney White film is professional modeling graduate Jo Beth Locklear.  This 18 year old Winter Park Senior has been cast for the role Jen.  Auditions for this film were held in Los Angeles as well as in Orlando for various parts in the movie.  The filming was done right here in Central Florida at our very own Rollins College.  Besides landing this exciting job, Jo Beth has done various runway shows for Belks and JC Penney’s and was also a spokes model for the PGA convention in Orlando.  She has been keeping busy auditioning for different jobs, including Bring It On 4!  Best of Luck!!

Star Talent!

Congrats to graduate Allison Kreiger, Miss Florida 2006 for competing in the Miss America Pageant that was held in Las Vegas January 29th and was aired on CMT.  Her title has provided amazing opportunities such as spreading her message of eating disorders outreach and prevention in local schools and communities as well as making appearances at local events.

Another Graduate who competed in the Miss America pageant is Callee Bauman, Miss South Dakota 2006.  Her platform was Pump Ethanol: Pumping Life Back Into South Dakota!  She has recently started selling her newest CD, "There's More Where That Came From." This is her first full length CD that includes 11 great songs! It was produced in Nashville and recorded in May, 2006

Graduate voice over talent and actress Gina Tuttle has been staying very busy booking jobs for Advil PM, Colgate Luminous Toothpaste, Mutual Of Omaha, Sherwin Williams and is the voice of Cronich Fatigue Syndrome. More voice over work for VH1’s Big in 06, Dreamgirls promos for Sony Music, E! Style Star and E! Children’s Modeling & Acting “TWIN” graduates Alexander and Anecia  Inbornone have been busy. They both booked several print jobs for Scholastic Books, Harcourt and River Town, runway modeling work for Hard Rock at Hard Rock Live, Seminole Towne Center and The Mall at Millenia.  Also a commercial for Mattress 1 though BrigthHouse.  Both attend Crystal Lake Elementary school and are in the 1st grade!  For the past years instead of receiving birthday presents they have asked their friends to bring the items to the Children’s Hospital at Florida Hospital. Once all the gifts have been gathered Alex and Anecia transport them to all the sick children from the radiology department, laboratory etc.  They also find time to make donations and bring stuffed animals to the Ronald McDonald House. They love bringing smiles to the many sick children.

Graduate Linda Taylor has been booking commercials for Freedom Health Insurance, print work for The Orlando Sentinel, Scholastic and Tri County, industrial work for Remicade, and Catalina Marketing and TV for Dr. G Medical Examiner and last but not least... Graduate David Rispoli son of Loretta is currently in Chicago attending Depaul University with an acting scholarship. He graduates in June with a BA degree. He will be showcased in NYC and LA for all the top agents in the industry in June after graduation. Although David has studied drama his forte is comedy. Some of his leading theater roles include Picasso of the Lapin Agile, Bloody Poet, and Macbeth. He also played the lead role in The Big Friendly Giant which is a classic children's story. He currently is performing at the Improv Olympics Club outside Second City in Chicago where he writes and performs his own sketch and stand up comedy.  Way to go David!

Setting Goals

Goal setting is a hugely powerful technique that can yield strong returns in all areas of your life. It’s like drawing a map from where you are to where you’d like to be, and like a map, it helps to guide you there.

At its simplest level, the process of setting goals allows you to choose where you want to go in life! By knowing what you want to achieve, you know what you have to concentrate on and improve, and also helps to identify distractions. Goal setting gives you long-term vision and short-term motivation.

By setting sharp, clearly defined goals, you can measure and take pride in the achievement of those goals. A good practice is to review your goals weekly so you can acknowledge the successful progress and re-make goals if they are not working. Basically, it helps you see forward progress in what might previously have seemed a long pointless grind.
By setting goals you can:
• Achieve more
• Improve performance
• Improve the quality of your training
• Increase your motivation to achieve
• Increase your pride and satisfaction in your performance
• Improve your self-confidence

10 TIPS ON DEVELOPING YOUR PERSONAL IMAGE:

Tip 1 - Nothing looks as good as self-confidence. People will notice your smile before your clothing.

Tip 2 - Stick to an image that you can pull off well. Develop your own personal brand of style.

Tip 3 - Your body language is key to creating a positive impact. Get rid of any distracting or bad gestures.

Tip 4 - Wear clothes that fit. No matter how expensive your jeans, if they don't fit the look is ruined.

Tip 5 - Take constructive criticism and listen. People care about you, which means they want to see you look fabulous.

Tip 6 - Colors are a beautiful thing. Don’t be afraid to try colors that you normally don’t wear. Get a little bold.

Tip 7 - Don't neglect the basics. You can't have a strong closet without the key essentials, such as a great dress, pants, and a classic jacket.

Tip 8 - The trendiest clothing doesn't always equal the most flattering. We all love a great fad to make us feel accepted but don't let these dominate your wardrobe.

Tip 9 - Be your own personal valet. Good grooming and cleanliness is the mainstay of a positive impression. Is your hair freshly groomed? People really do notice the little things.

Tip 10 - Being consistent is crucial. If you don’t have consistency, you will not come across as sincere which is important in establishing your personal brand.

Always remember that if you feel good about yourself  and your appearance, you will project a positive image to the world. Everything you think, do or feel has an impact, positive or negative, on the persona you show those around you. As you continue to create and promote your work, don’t forget to spend dedicated time on developing and perfecting your personal image. It needs to be part of your marketing plan, as well. Your image…your personal brand is everything!
