All In The
Family!
Jensen Swopes has been
quite busy over the past 6 months. She was cast as the female lead,
Arlene Zane, in "Don't Rock the Boat" and also as the female lead, Ma
Hereford, in "Hankerin'
Hillbillies," both with the Helen Stairs Jr. Repertory Company in Sanford. She had
ensemble roles in Oklahoma and Cinderella with the Helen Stairs Adult
Repertory Company as well. She booked the Bealls
Holiday 06 commercial which filmed in Jacksonville,
Florida in October. She
recently shot a national commercial in St.
Petersburg, Florida for
ESPN for Little League Softball which will air in February.
Remy Swopes, Jensen's
sister, is following in her big sister's footsteps. She was cast as
Pirate Rose in "Don't Rock the Boat" and as Maggie Hereford in "Hankerin' Hillbillies" both
with the Helen Stairs Jr. Repertory Company in Sanford. She was cast as young
Cinderella and as a mouse in "Cinderella" with the Helen Stairs
Adult Repertory Company. In October she booked print work with Harcourt
and shot a "Better People" video at Northland Church.
Over the holidays she was cast as a "Kid Host" at Sea World and did a
shoot with the Marine Sanctuaries Director from NOAA.
Eldon Swopes, father of
Jensen and Remy, and also a past graduate of The Maile School
of Acting and Modeling has been joining his daughters
in their love of acting and theatre. He performed in Oklahoma with Jensen in an ensemble
role. He was then cast as the male lead, Prince Claude, in
Cinderella. He can be seen in the Man of La Mancha this February 2 - 11
at the Helen Stairs Theatre in Sanford.

STAR
TALENT
Brittany McDaniel is at it again! Brittany just got back from Nashville where she was recording her very own album. The only "cover song" she recorded
was a live recording of Tricia Yearwood's "Walk
Away Joe". She sang while Lee
Turner (from the Nashville
Star TV show) accompanied her on a baby grand piano. They had allotted three days for the
recording but where so pleased with Brittany
that they finished in just one day!
