Shop ‘til you drop!

We are very proud to announce the addition of Oliver Reyes from Macy’s to our Image Staff.  Oliver is a UCF graduate and has worked in the fashion industry for over 20 years! Each season, Macy’s sends him down to Miami for Fashion Week to check out all the new styles and trends.  As part of The Maile School ’s Image program, students will attend a wardrobe class with Oliver at Macy’s in the Mall at Millenia!  Oliver teaches how to find the best bargains, the must-haves for the season, how to hide figure flaws and much more!  As an added bonus, Oliver gives away door prizes and discount coupons!  If you are interested in fashion or professional dress, call Oliver.  He is a personal shopper – a free service to all his clients!  Oliver’s motto is “Energy is everything, and everything is energy.”  When you meet him, you’ll definitely feel his energy!  Welcome, Oliver!

Congrats to all the models who booked the Hard Rock National Leadership Conference Fashion Show! There were over 500 VIP Executives in attendance! The event was a huge success, and they want to work the Maile School again!

Words of Wisdom from

School President, Debbie Wisner

We must believe in ourselves or no one else will believe in us.  Then we must match our aspirations with the competence, courage and determination to succeed.

In The News

Ben Chisari got some great news after working the Hard Rock National Leadership Conference Fashion Show!  After seeing him on the runway, the Hard Rock Corporate Office wanted to use him in their poster promotions! See how one job can lead to the next? Ben had already had a busy month – he booked a Papa John’s Pizza commercial and a photo spread for Abercrombie & Fitch!  Way to go, Ben!

After taking our Professional Modeling, Acting and Scene Study classes, Katie Roof decided to pursue the industry full time.  She recently completed films for Larry the Cable Guy, Full Sail and UCF.  She auditions frequently, sometimes having as many as two auditions per day!  Katie has booked work with Dynatech Trading Options, Waterside Shops/Pelican Bay, HSN and Papa Johns.  She has also modeled for Mall at Millenia, Lillie Rubin, St. John and Talbots.  Keep up the great work, Katie!

Maile School grad, Stephanie Scott, recently won 1st Runner-Up at the National Miss American Pageant in Hollywood , CA .  She also won 1st Runner-Up Miss Photogenic Nationally and 4th Runner-Up Casual Wear Modeling.  Stephanie also did a photo shoot for Discovery Channel’s “Expedition Everest” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and she was cast as an orphan in “Annie Warbucks” (which will run at the Cocoa Beach Playhouse until October). Congratulations!

Graduate Gregg Montmorency spent some time in court in a mock trial held by First Court .  First Court is a company that is hired by law firms to present mock trials of upcoming lawsuits in order to prepare the attorneys for their case.  Gregg played the injured party, suing a major corporation.  He was given three depositions (each one was at least 500 pages!) that he had to learn within 48hrs.  Way to handle a “trying” experience, Gregg!  Good job!

Alec LeMaster has been busy lately!  He booked a job for Fuji Quicksnap Kids, and shot a commercial for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee!  Alec was also featured in two commercials for Nemours.  Keep up the great work, Alec!

Congratulations to Alan Aaron for booking a print job for Darden’s Olive Garden Restaurant!

You may remember Acting grad, Arielle Kebbel, from her role as “Lindsay” on The Gilmore Girls and “Heather” in Soul Plane.  Since then, Arielle’s been on the fast track!  She will appear in several upcoming films, so keep your eyes open for her in theaters!  Arielle plays “Cecilia” in the film Aquamarine, set to release on March 3rd.  In the movie John Tucker Must Die, starring Ashanti , Arielle can be seen as “Carrie.”  She spent the summer in Vancouver to shoot her role!  When she shot the movie Outlaw Trail, Arielle was the only female in the cast!  She even did her own stunts!  In 2005, Arielle appeared in the hit film, The Kid & I, starring Tom Arnold.  She also starred in the American Pie video-released sequel, American Pie Presents Band Camp.  Arielle is currently in Japan filming the sequel to the 2004 blockbuster film, The Grudge.  The Grudge II stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and Amber Tamblyn.

Arielle’s younger brother, Christian, has been spending his time focusing on theatre and stage work.  He also lends his musical talents to The Ice House/Black Box Theater, playing piano and guitar.  Christian is a sophomore at Winter Park High School .  He’s like to become a doctor, so right now academics are his main priority!  Christian and Arielle’s older sister, Julia, is living in Beverly Hills, CA, and working in Public Relations for New Line Cinemas.
