Cover Girls!

Image and Professional Modeling Graduate, Allison Kreiger (Miss Miami), recently went on to win the title of Miss Florida! Congratulations, Allison!  Allison, now 23, won the $20,000 scholarship and will compete for the title of Miss America at the 2007 pageant! Allison will continue to work to create awareness of eating disorders and help prevent them with her platform called HOPE: Helping Other People Eat! Allison battled an eating disorder in high school and wants to help others get through the struggles faced! Good luck, Allison!  We’re rooting for you!

Acting grad, Spencer Locke, has a starring role in the newly released Steven Spielberg/Robert Zemeckis project, Monster House.  Monster House tells the story of three kids who do battle with a mysterious house that threatens anyone who crosses its path. Monster House reached #2 at the box office, and continues to receive glowing reviews.  Now, Spencer is working on her next project, Resident Evil: Extinction, due to come out next year.  We’re proud of you Spencer!

Arielle Kebbel’s latest film project, John Tucker Must Die, opened in theaters on July 28th, bringing in $14.1 million its first weekend!  Way to go, Arielle!  Arielle stars in the film as “Carrie,” alongside R&B singer, Ashanti, Jesse Metcalfe (Desperate Housewives) and Brittany Snow.  John Tucker is about three ex-girlfriends of a serial cheater, who set up their former love to fall for the new girl in town, knowing she’ll break his heart.  Arielle’s upcoming film projects include The Grudge II, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar. Congrats, Arielle!

Welcome!

Certified Imagine Consultant, Susan Constantine, will be bringing her expertise into the classroom at The Maile School, instructing in the Wardrobe Coordination class.  Susan is the President of Executive Imagine Consulting, Inc., and also works as a jury consultant.  Susan also runs a non-profit organization called The Mustard Seed of Central Florida, which was founded by her mother, Carol Kane.  The Mustard Seed has provided more than 200 suits, shirts and ties for those less fortunate.  Susan has worked for the Public Defenders Office, providing Pro Bono services for research purposes.  She wanted to see if by presenting their clients in a more favorable manner, the client would have a better change of receiving a fair trial.  Susan provided witness preparation, mock testimony and juror consultation through non-verbal speed reading jurors, profiling jurors and presentation coaching for the attorneys’ opening and closing statements.  Susan has also coached local colleges and corporations such as ATT, AAA, Time Warner, Chamber of Commerce, Holland & Knight and Jacobs & Goodman in how to understand and predict people’s behavior through the secrets of non-verbal communication.  It is a scientific fact that people’s body gestures give away their true intentions, and by decoding the message hidden in appearance, tone of voice and movements, Susan has accurately predicted the behaviors of jurors, witnesses and sales prospects.  We’re very happy to have Susan Constantine as part of The Maile School!  Welcome, Susan!

In The News

Thanks to everyone went out to support Brittany McDaniel at the Colgate Country Showdown at Lake Eola on the 4th of July!  Brittany had a blast performing the audience, and ended up coming away in 4th place—beating three adult acts (she was the youngest performer by five years)!  Way to go, Brittany!

Acting grad, Marcienne Dwyer, has been keeping herself busy lately!  In the past three months she’s worked on five film projects (starring in two).  She also had commercials for both NFL Monday Night Football and SunRocket Phone, and an industrial for Tinnitus and Osceola, FL Hotels.  Her upcoming projects include a student thesis film for the New York Film Academy, and shooting a trailer for Spring Break: The Movie. Way to go, Marcienne!  Keep up the great work!

Congratulations to Children’s Acting grad, Evan Nave, who currently has commercials running for Mattress Select, Cypress Gardens and After Hours Pediatrics.  We’re so proud of you, Evan!  We can’t wait to see what you’ll do next!

If Vincent Martella’s name seems familiar, it’s probably because he’s appeared in our newsletter several times throughout the past year!  Vincent landed a starring role on Chris Rock’s smash hit sitcom, Everybody Hates Chris.  Dr. Tim Shriver, the Chairman of the Special Olympics Board of Directors, introduced Vincent as the Youth Ambassador on July 3rd at the first ever Special Olympics National Summer Games.  The games took place at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.  Vincent participated in the first ever National Youth Summit webinar, via webcam provided by Stetson University.  The Youth Summit was an open discussion amongst Special Olympics athletes and their non-disabled peers in order to find ways to break down the misconceptions that often exist in society about people with intellectual disabilities. The summit was hosted by Dr. Tim Shriver and actor Tom Arnold.  Also in attendance were Special Olympics Founder, Eunice Kennedy Shriver and Special Olympics Florida athlete and "The Ringer" co-star, Eddie Barbanell.  We’re so proud of you, Vincent!  And to top everything off, Vincent has been nominated for a Teen Choice Award, in the category "Choice TV Sidekick"! The 2006 Teen Choice Awards will air on Fox on August 20, 2006 at 8pm ET/PT. You can vote for Vincent at TeenPeople.com/teenchoice!
